Dog License Application  The process is easier than you think.

Every dog over 6 months of age must be licensed with the Town Clerk. You have 30 days to license your dog after moving to New Britain, or after obtaining the dog.

To obtain a license, proof of rabies and parvovirus vaccinations are required at the time of licensing.

The annual license fee for an un-neutered or un-spayed dog is $19; neutered or spayed dogs are $8.  If your dog was spayed or neutered the previous year or if this is the first year you have owned the dog, documentation of the procedure is also required. 

A $99 fine will be assessed by the New Britain police department if your dog has not been given the parvovirus vaccination.
